ShieldedCyber is a cybersecurity advisory built for biotech and life sciences companies. We help leadership teams build a security program that holds up in front of investors, pharma partners, and auditors, and that a small internal team can actually run.

Ragy Emile is the founder and principal consultant of ShieldedCyber, a cybersecurity advisory for biotech and life sciences companies, based in Greater Boston, Massachusetts. He has spent his career leading information technology and security for life sciences organizations and currently serves as Head of Information Technology at a Greater Boston spatial genomics company, where he is responsible for technology strategy, the security program, and vendor risk management.
His experience spans the full arc of a growing biotech's security needs: establishing identity and device management, hardening Microsoft 365 environments, guiding organizations through mergers and integrations, and representing the company in security reviews with pharma partners, investors, and auditors. He is based in Greater Boston, Massachusetts.
ShieldedCyber was founded on a simple principle: the people advising life sciences companies on security should be the same people who have carried that responsibility themselves.

Currently leads IT and security inside a Greater Boston biotech. Advice from the operator's seat, not the outside.
Security programs that hold up in diligence: pharma partner questionnaires, investor reviews, and audits, answered with evidence rather than assurances.

Led the technology and security integration of two life sciences companies.

Still runs a live security program every day. The advice reflects what works in practice, not in theory.
We keep the firm deliberately small so that every client works directly with senior expertise. The goal is simple: advice that holds up when a pharma partner, a lead investor, or an auditor starts asking questions.

Every engagement is scoped, led, and delivered by the founder. The person you meet is the person who does the work.

Recommendations are grounded in what investors, pharma partners, and auditors actually ask for, with the documentation to match.

You keep the roadmap, the documentation, and a team equipped to run what we set up together.
Understand your current risk posture and identify the IT and security gaps that matter most.
